Local & seasonal Scheduling Sales & follow-up
Event and booking waitlists
When a class, tasting, or weekend slot opens, SI drafts an offer to the next people on your waitlist in the order you already set.
Worth knowing: Texting rules vary; get consent and honor opt-outs. SI drafts; a person sends.
The problem
A cancellation leaves an empty seat while a list of people who asked for that class, tasting, or weekend sits in a notes app. Waitlist filling for cancellations is written for a medical practice. Event registration logistics is for seating and name tags. Neither is a local shop's booking waitlist.
What SI does
SI keeps the waitlist organized (who, which event or slot, how they asked to be reached). When you mark a seat open, it drafts an offer to the next people in the order you set, using only the facts you allow (date, time, what is included, how to confirm). It does not invent availability, prices, or discounts, and it does not send or book.
Examples
The same job looks different in different businesses. These are illustrations, not client results.
- Cooking studio
A Saturday tasting drops a guest. SI drafts an offer to the next names on that class waitlist, with the time and what is included from your notes.
- U-pick farm
A Sunday morning slot opens. The draft goes to the next household that asked for Sunday, in the order the farm already wrote down.
- Holiday workshop shop
A wreath-making evening has a cancellation. SI drafts a short offer with the remaining seats you named and leaves payment for the owner to take.
What it takes to set up
GemmiSI sets this up on your own equipment and accounts; your data stays with you. The waitlist export or sheet, your written order for who is offered a seat, and the wording you already use. Permission is to read and draft, not to book, charge, or send. Setup is often a day or two.
What a human still checks
- A person confirms who is offered a seat and sends the message.
- A person approves anything that sends, pays, orders, or posts.
- SI does not charge a card, hold a deposit, or mark anyone booked.
Try it yourself
Paste this into your SI tool of choice and swap the [bracketed] parts for your own details. It asks SI to stop and show you before it does anything.
Here is the waitlist [file] and the order for who is offered a seat [paste]. A seat opened for [event] on [date and time]. Draft an offer to the next eligible people in that order using only these facts [paste]. Do not invent prices, remaining seats, or discounts. Do not book, charge, or send. Pause and show me before sending, paying, ordering, posting, or changing anything.
