Local & seasonal Customer support Scheduling

Weather-driven rescheduling notices

When weather cancels outdoor work, a patio, or a market day, SI lists who is affected and drafts the same-day notice for you to send.

Worth knowing: This is a customer-notice draft from your calendar, not a safety or emergency plan. Weather and safety decisions stay with you. Texting rules vary; get consent and honor opt-outs.

The problem

Rain, heat, or a freeze can wipe a day's outdoor jobs, patio reservations, or stall hours with little warning. Hurricane-season readiness is a checklist before a named storm. It does not draft same-day notices for the people on today's calendar.

What SI does

From the calendar, reservation list, or job board you point it at, SI lists who is booked in the window you name, drafts one notice in your voice (closed, delayed, or offering a reschedule using only openings you provide), and groups people by how they asked to be reached. It does not send, move bookings, or decide whether it is safe to operate.

Examples

The same job looks different in different businesses. These are illustrations, not client results.

  • Landscaping crew

Thunderstorms cancel the afternoon jobs. SI lists the stops still on the board and drafts a delay note with the next openings you typed in.

  • Restaurant with a patio

A washout evening: patio reservations are listed, indoor leftovers you named are offered in the draft, and indoor-only bookings are left alone.

  • Saturday market stall

The market closes for wind. SI drafts a closure post and an email to the pre-order list you exported, with pickup moved to the next market date you provided.

What it takes to set up

GemmiSI sets this up on your own equipment and accounts; your data stays with you. Today's calendar or reservation export, the wording you want for a weather closure or delay, and any reschedule openings you are willing to offer. Setup is often a day, then used when the forecast changes.

What a human still checks

  • The owner decides whether to close, delay, or keep going.
  • A person approves anything that sends, pays, orders, or posts.
  • Safety calls stay with the owner; SI only drafts from the list you give it.

Try it yourself

Paste this into your SI tool of choice and swap the [bracketed] parts for your own details. It asks SI to stop and show you before it does anything.

Copy-ready prompt
Using this calendar or reservation list [file] and this weather decision [closed, delayed, or reschedule], list who is affected in [time window]. Draft a notice in this voice [paste] using only these reschedule openings [paste]. Do not send messages or change bookings. Do not decide whether it is safe to operate. Pause and show me before sending, paying, ordering, posting, or changing anything.
