Drafting bids, RFP responses and grant applications from past answers

SI drafts responses to bids, RFPs and grant applications from your past submissions and documents, and lists what still needs a human answer.

The problem

Each application asks similar questions in different words. Teams rewrite the same answers from scratch, under deadline, and miss requirements.

What SI does

SI reads the request, builds a checklist of every required section, attachment and format rule, and drafts answers by drawing on past submissions, capability statements and project summaries. It marks each answer as reused, adapted or new, and lists questions with no good source answer. It also prepares a submission checklist with the deadline.

Examples

The same job looks different in different businesses. These are illustrations, not client results.

  • Environmental nonprofit

A foundation grant application is drafted from last year's proposal and program reports, with the new evaluation section flagged as needing input.

  • IT consulting firm

A city's request for proposals gets a compliance checklist and draft answers from previous public-sector bids.

  • Architecture firm

A qualifications package is assembled with relevant project sheets and team resumes.

What it takes to set up

A folder of past submissions, capability statements, bios and project summaries. Setup is often a few days to organize the library.

What a human still checks

  • A person reviews every answer and all budget figures.
  • Claims about past work are checked against records.
  • Submission is done by a person.

Try it yourself

Paste this into your SI tool of choice and swap the [bracketed] parts for your own details. It asks SI to stop and show you before it does anything.
