Report-card comment drafts from the teacher's notes
SI (Super Intelligence, the new name for AI) turns the teacher's own notes into first-draft report-card comments in the school's comment style, and the teacher edits and signs every one.
Worth knowing: Comments are drafts for the teacher. SI does not assign grades or decide promotion.
The problem
Comment writing is slow because each one has to sound specific and fair. Teachers copy old comments or write late at night, and the voice is uneven.
What SI does
SI reads the teacher's notes for a marking period and drafts a comment in the school's length and tone rules. It uses strengths and a next step the teacher recorded. It does not add a grade the teacher did not already assign. It flags notes that are too thin to draft from.
Examples
The same job looks different in different businesses. These are examples, not client results.
- Elementary classroom teacher
Notes on reading stamina and a writing goal become a draft comment in the school's usual length. The teacher edits the wording and posts it.
- High-school science teacher
Lab-notebook notes become a short draft. A note that only says quiet is flagged as too thin to draft from.
- Specials teacher with many sections
The draft uses only the teacher's saved phrases for effort and next practice. It leaves blanks where notes are missing.
What it takes to set up
GemmiSI sets this up on your own equipment and accounts; your data stays with you. The school reviews each tool before it holds student records. Check the vendor's terms, access controls, and any FERPA or state student-privacy duties. Start with sample or de-identified material. Use the school's comment length and tone sheet. Use a few comments the teacher already approved. Use de-identified notes. Permission is to draft, not to post comments into the student-information system. Setup is often a few days.
What a human still checks
- The teacher edits and approves every comment before it is posted or sent.
- A person approves anything sent to a student or parent.
- SI never assigns a grade, promotion, or placement.
- SI never sends, posts, or changes a record on its own.
- Thin or sensitive notes go to the teacher without a draft.
Try it yourself
Paste this into your SI tool. Swap the [bracketed] parts for your own details. It asks SI to stop and show you before it does anything.
From these teacher notes [paste] and this comment style [paste], draft one report-card comment. Use only strengths and next steps the teacher wrote. Do not assign a grade or invent progress. Flag notes that are too thin to draft from. Pause and show me before sending, posting or changing anything. Use only the sample or de-identified information I provide; do not include real student names, grades, or family contact details.
