Comparing vendors, tools or options in one decision sheet

SI researches the options for a purchase or decision and lays them out side by side against your requirements, with sources.

The problem

Choosing a new supplier, software tool or service provider means reading websites, quotes and reviews that never compare the same things. Decisions end up based on whoever had the best sales call.

What SI does

From your requirements and the options you are considering, SI collects published information and the quotes you have received, and builds a comparison sheet: price and terms, features against requirements, contract length, support, and open questions for each vendor. It flags where information is missing or based only on the vendor's own claims.

Examples

The same job looks different in different businesses. These are illustrations, not client results.

  • Dental practice

Three practice-management systems are compared on scheduling, imaging integration, monthly cost, data migration and contract length.

  • Moving company

Quotes for two truck lease offers are compared on mileage limits, maintenance and early termination.

  • Community center

Three insurance quotes are compared on coverage limits and exclusions, with questions for the broker.

What it takes to set up

Your requirements and the quotes or vendor names. Setup is minimal.

What a human still checks

  • The owner makes the decision.
  • Facts are linked to sources and checked before relying on them.
  • Questions for vendors are sent by a person.

Try it yourself

Paste this into your SI tool of choice and swap the [bracketed] parts for your own details. It asks SI to stop and show you before it does anything.

Copy-ready prompt
I need to choose [type of vendor or tool]. My requirements are [list]. Compare these options [names, quotes, links] side by side on price, terms, requirements met, contract length and support. Link sources and flag anything missing or based only on vendor claims. List questions to ask each vendor. Pause and show me before sending, submitting, posting or changing anything.
