Ecommerce Sales & follow-up Customer support
Abandoned-checkout follow-up drafts from your store records
SI lists checkouts that were started and not finished, and drafts a short follow-up from the actual cart, for you to send only if the customer is allowed to hear from you.
Worth knowing: Email and texting rules vary. Only contact people you are allowed to contact, and honor opt-outs.
The problem
People start checkout and leave. Follow-up either never happens, or a generic automated email goes out with a discount you no longer offer. The store already has the cart, the email, and the time it was left. A review of your automated emails rewrites templates. It does not turn this week's abandoned checkouts into specific drafts.
What SI does
On a schedule you choose, SI reads abandoned checkouts from the store or an export. It lists ones still incomplete after a wait you set, with the items, total, and when the checkout was left. It drops checkouts that later became orders, checkouts with no email, and anyone on your do-not-contact list. It drafts a short follow-up from your past replies and policy: no invented discounts, no fake scarcity, no stock claims that are not in the catalog. It does not send.
Examples
The same job looks different in different businesses. These are illustrations, not client results.
- Shopify apparel store
Three checkouts from yesterday are still open. The drafts name the exact sizes left in the cart and offer no extra discount.
- Home-goods store
A checkout that became an order overnight is dropped from the list. The remaining draft is a short 'still saved' note for the owner to send.
- Shop that also sells on a marketplace
Marketplace checkouts are left out because those channels run their own recovery. Only the store's own checkouts are listed.
What it takes to set up
Read access or an export of checkouts and completed orders, your contact rules (who may be emailed, how long to wait), and a few follow-ups you actually sent. Setup is often a few days.
What a human still checks
- A person approves every message; SI never sends.
- Opt-outs and contact rules are followed; SI does not guess consent.
- Discounts and stock claims come only from what you provided.
Try it yourself
Paste this into your SI tool of choice and swap the [bracketed] parts for your own details. It asks SI to stop and show you before it does anything.
From [store export or checkout list], list checkouts started after [date] that are still incomplete after [hours] and did not become an order. Skip checkouts with no email and anyone on [do-not-contact list]. For each, draft a short follow-up from these past replies [paste] that names the items in the cart. Do not invent discounts, scarcity, or stock. Do not send. Pause and show me before sending, submitting, posting, or changing anything.
