Missing-assignment lists and gentle reminder drafts
SI (Super Intelligence, the new name for AI) builds a missing-work list from the gradebook export the teacher provides. It drafts a gentle reminder for the teacher to send.
Worth knowing: SI lists what the gradebook export shows. The teacher decides who is contacted.
The problem
Missing work is visible in the gradebook and still takes a separate pass to list and write home. Reminders go out late or in a tone the teacher did not mean.
What SI does
SI reads the teacher's gradebook export, lists assignments marked missing, and drafts a short, calm reminder from wording the teacher already approved. It does not change scores, excuse work, or contact families.
Examples
The same job looks different in different businesses. These are examples, not client results.
- Middle-school team teacher
The export shows three missing homework rows. The draft reminder uses the teacher's approved wording. It waits in a queue.
- High-school math teacher
Missing quizzes are listed with the due date already in the file. The teacher decides which families hear from the teacher that day.
- Learning-support teacher
The list is grouped by class period from the export. Anything the teacher marked do not contact is left off the draft list.
What it takes to set up
GemmiSI sets this up on your own equipment and accounts; your data stays with you. The school reviews each tool before it holds student records. Check the vendor's terms, access controls, and any FERPA or state student-privacy duties. Start with sample or de-identified material. Use a gradebook export. Use the reminder wording the teacher has already approved. Permission is to read and draft, not to send or change scores. Setup is often a day or two.
What a human still checks
- The teacher checks the list against the gradebook and decides who is contacted.
- A person approves anything sent to a student or parent.
- SI never changes a score or marks work late or excused.
- Sensitive situations go to the teacher without a draft.
Try it yourself
Paste this into your SI tool. Swap the [bracketed] parts for your own details. It asks SI to stop and show you before it does anything.
From this gradebook export [file], list assignments marked missing. Draft a short reminder using only this approved wording [paste]. Do not change scores, excuse work, or contact anyone. Pause and show me before sending, posting or changing anything. Use only the sample or de-identified information I provide; do not include real student names, grades, or family contact details.
